42nd Street

So this week my brother ended up getting permission for me to take pictures at 42nd Street at Tuacahn.

For those that don’t know, my brother is in the show. He’s the one that shoots the gun at the end, if you’ve seen it. Anyway, we tried taking pictures a week ago or so, but we were on the side, and didn’t get “official” permission. The house manager came by 10 minutes into the show and said something like “There is absolutely no photography allowed”, I ended up rattling off some excuse that they bought, but the pictures didn’t really turn out that great (because we were on the side), and I left at intermission. (Free ticket, btw).

So this week, he (brother) ended up getting official permission from “the man” himself. I got myself free tickets on row “U”, which is quite a bit up there, also got one on row “E” (free too), but I never went down to use it, because I was stuck in the middle of the center. Kind of hard to climb over people during the show to walk down to “E” row and climb over more people to get into the center. I ended up buying a new 4GB Sandisk CF at bestbuy yesterday morning just for the event. Seeing how I typically fill up my 1GB and 2GB CFs if I take a bit of pictures. Plus, I shoot in RAW, so it takes up a little bit more. Yeah, I only have a Canon 20d (8 megapixel), but it’s still big enough that 560+ pictures will fill up a 4GBer.

Anyway, I went through most of them today, tweaked levels/exposure/brightness an burned a dvd of them for my brother (so he can make copies for friends in the show), also burned a dvd for my momma. I burned a CD for “the man” at Tuacahn of some of the better group shots that turned out fairly good. 120 or so in total. For those that want to check them out, go here:
