So.. tomorrow night I leave for the trip to Spain. A day early, yes.. how exciting is that. About time I got out of here for a vacation..

So that’s me at the Ogden Valley Triathlon last Saturday morning. The last Triathlon of the 2005 season. *tears*
Here I am doing the ‘run’. It really sucked. I think I twisted my right ankle or something because it was pounding by the time I had just started running. All of this after trying so hard to practice running since the last Tri (Jordanelle). Sucks to be me. The bike was quite enjoyable. 18 miles though. That’s probably the longest I’ve ridden in one ride in my life. But I did it in like 1:10 minutes. 15 miles and hour I think is what milliseconds clocked me in at. |

Oh and the swim. Well, it was FREEZING COLD. There were guys behind me before we started that were just shivering.. 24 minutes on the swim. Longer than normal for me (typically 18-19 minutes in a tri). Probably because of the cold… or the WWF fighting going on.
Anyway, it was quite fun. In the morning early it was windy, overcast and a few raindrops were falling. That ended for quite a nice Triathlon. Here’s to next year, hoping I can get my act together and do better. |

I finally got my UHF antenna working with my Samsung HDTV. Now I get CBS and PBS in HD. This is freaking awesome. .. watching CSI:Miami in HD with 5.1 surround. Not bad for over the air. If only ABC and Fox were able to deliver I’d get Alias and “24″ in HD too. I love it.
That’s my decision. Do I leave for Spain on a Thursday or Friday? (29th or 30th of September).
Thursday I have a 7.30am Database class I need to teach. I “could” probably get another professor (Curtis, probably) to come in and show them some cool “database” stuff.. maybe go over a review with them… OR, I could just schedule my test for that day in the testing center. That leaves the Tuesday after (which I had a test scheduled for) open for nothing since I wont be here either way.
If I go Friday i’ll arrive in Spain “maybe” on Saturday morning. Depends on the flights. Which limits my time in Madrid.
If I go on Thursday I could take a trip on Saturday up to Segovia.. or El Escorial. We could also get Sammi’s Carnet Joven Friday instead of Monday morning. Allowing us to leave earlier (before 9am) to cordoba on Monday..
I’m going to try for Thursday.. It just offers more time in Spain.. better flights.. AND I can spend thursday in NYC.
