what really happened on day 3 of the creation?
“We consider that God has created man with a mind capable of instruction, and a faculty which may be enlarged in proportion to the heed and diligence given to the light communicated from heaven to the intellect; and that the nearer man approaches to perfection, the clearer are his views, and the greater his enjoyments, till he has overcome the evils of his life and lost every desire for sin; and like the ancients, arrives at that point of faith where he is wrapped in the power and glory of his Maker and is caught up to dwell with Him. But we consider that this is a station to which no man ever arrived in a moment: he must have been instructed in the government and laws of that kingdom by proper degrees, until his mind is capable in some measure of comprehending the propriety, justice, equality, and consistency of the same.”

2 – Opposition. Witnesses.
3 – God; covenant, sometimes perfection
4 – Geographic fulness; totality
5 – combination of 2 and 3.. Divine Grace and Fallen man

3 times we promise/covenant, the 4 promises = 12 times..

- The Earth is a living entity.. has agency (D&C 93), has a Spirit, and abidth the celestial law.
- v10 – ‘and the Gods saw that they were obeyed.’
- v18 – ‘the Gods watched those things which they have ordered until they obeyed.’
- v25 – ‘and the Gods saw they would obey’
You will not receive further light and true until the Gods watch you obey.
4:1 – organized and formed
4:2 – empty and desolate.. “Let there be light”
4:5 – this is the first time.
4:6-8 – Provision is made for clouds, rain and storms to give life to the earth.
4:8 – this is the second time.
4:9-13 – Dry land appears; vegetation comes forth (covenant)
4:13 – the third time.
4:14-18 Lights in the heavens; seasons
4: — fish and fowl; commanded to multiply

6th day: Beasts and man; commanded to multiply
7th day, the earth is sanctified

comparisons to life….
Day #1 – Earth was empty and desolate.. if they want to fill that void. the Light of Christ is given free..
As you follow the light, you are given further light of Christ (Moroni 7:13-19?) “Let there be light”
Day #2 – Water. “I am living water”.. rain comes down from the heavens and blesses the earth. Revelation. “Pouring down knowledge from heaven”.. Water is a type for ’spirit’ and ‘revelation’ (John 3:3)
Day #3 – Stability for the first time on the earth. It was immersed. Entering into the covenant (see John 3:5)
Day #4 – created the Greater light.. The Gift of the Holy Ghost .. Receiving the greater light (2 Nephi 31:17; Helaman 5:45)
Day #5 – created fish and fowl. Gives an Endowment of beauty (D&C 105:18; John 10:10). Now comes the abundant light. Clothe yourself in Christ.
Day #6 – Beasts and man. Entering into the covenant of Marriage (D&C 132:19) family. It means flesh. If you were Satan where would you hit to kill? If you hit the family, you destroy all the levels below.
Day #7 – Exaltation (D&C 132:22)
2 Nephi 29 is offspring from verse 30 of chap 28.. ‘21′ all is well in Zion… the Saints.
D&C 93:12 .. He advanced from grace to grace until he hath received a fullness..

It is the covenant of marriage that you come to see the Savior.
Creation as spiritual beings is a process not an event.
