Seth – appointed
Enosh (Enos) – mortal
Kenen (Cainan) – sorrow
Mahalalel – The blessed God
Jared – Shall Come Down
Enoch – Teaching
Methuselah – His Death Shall Bring (destruction)
Lamech – The Despairing
Noah – Rest, Comfort
Genesis 5 — these 10 names come from it.
the Lord uses names to teach something.. read the 10 translation names..
Joseph (Asaph) – He who gathers; He who causes to return; God gathereth
Joel 2.. is in fulfillment as we speak. Per HBEyring in church news. Pres. Hinckley also said it is in fulfillment.
Psalm 80 – one of the roots of Messiah-Ben-Joseph. Prophecy.
Hyrum – in hebrew means “my brother is exalted”

You know a name means power.

Messiah = hebrew for anointed
ben = son of
The Pharasies always came to ask ‘who are you the son of?’…
The testaments of the 12 patriarchs:
“The Lord shall raise up from Levi as it were a high priest, and from Judah as it were a king.” (Testament of Simeon 3:11)

The Samaritans
Samaritans refer to Joseph or Ephraim as “Taheb”, meaning “he who returns” or “he who causes to return”.

Messiah-Ben-Joseph and Elijah
- Elijah, according to Jewish tradition, is “charged with the mission of ordering the coming time aright and restoring the tribes of Jacob” (Louis Ginzberg, The Lengends of the Jews 4:233).
- When Elijah comes he must adjust “all matters of law and Biblical interpretation” and correct “all genealogical records” (Julius H. Greenstone, The Messiah Idea in Jewish History, 96)
- “Elijah’s chief activity will consist in restoring the purity of the family.” (Louis Ginzberg, The Legends of the Jews, 6:339).

- v21 that prophet? what prophet? Not the anointed one? Not Elijah who shall return?
- Messiah-Ben-Joseph is the prophet
- v25- each of the individuals mentioned are to baptize..
Matthew 17:..
v7 – they see the Savior as Jehova.
v8 -
v11 – Elias shall restore all things. Joseph Smith. check JST Matt 17:10-14
v12 – Elias here is John the Baptist.
Jeremiah 30. major on messiah-ben-joseph

v14 – and ALSO ANOTHER who should come and restore all things, as it is written by the prophets.
